"Saturday, July 27, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. AND Sunday, July 28, 
12 p.m. to 6 p.m., FIGMENT Boston returns to the Rose Kennedy 
Greenway bringing interactive art projects, dance performances, 
and music to inspire your creativity! 

FIGMENT is a free, annual participatory arts festival that brings 
together the community and inspires all ages in the creation and 
celebration of art and a culture where everything is possible. Over 
the past 4 years, FIGMENT Boston has helped bring hundreds of 
interactive art projects to downtown Boston, inspiring thousands 
of people to broaden their definition of art by breaking down the 
wall between spectator and artist and encouraging everyone to 
participate.

This event is free to the public and yet non-commercial, 
independently produced by volunteer staff and artists. If you want 
to get involved, please volunteer to help make 
FIGMENT Boston 2013 happen!

"On Friday, June 28, join thousands of Cambridge residents and visitors who will gather on Mass. Ave. in front of Cambridge City Hall for the City’s annual Dance Party.  This portion of the street, between Inman and Bigelow at the heart of Central Square, will be closed to traffic from 7-11 p.m.  This event is free and open to the public.  MBTA: Red Line to Central Square.

The annual dance extravaganza with DJ spun music is a special opportunity for the entire Cambridge community to celebrate summer.  After dark, colorful lights will be launched, adding to the magic of the evening.

Originally conceived in 1996 as part of the 150^th anniversary celebration of Cambridge, the Dance Party returns each year attracting young and old to join in the festivities!  The event is free and open to the public. 

PLEASE NOTE:  MBTA #1 Bus Line will terminate in Central Square at 6 p.m. and resume full service at 11:30 p.m. (take the Red Line subway to travel between Central & Harvard Squares). Closest subway stop to the Dance Party is Central Square, then two blocks to City Hall.

Red Bull Thre3Style is a DJ contest that will rock the house all night! 
Crowd reaction, technique and the art of party rocking are what makes 
this the new school DJ contest. DJ’s are judged on track selection, creativity, 
mixing skills, stage presence and crowd reaction. Each DJ gets one 15 minute 
performance where they have to play a minimum of 3 genres. Anything goes - 
from house anthems to old school hip hop to Top 40 remixes.

Starting in January 2013, DJ's from Boston will begin staging one of the battles 
for the coveted title of Red Bull Thre3style National Champion – a title that 
comes with bragging rights; cash prizes; a stamp of approval from some of 
the best DJs in the world including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Z-Trip and A-Trak; …and 
a ticket to compete in the Red Bull Thre3style World Finals in December.

Boston's winner will go on to compete in the East Regional final on Feb. 2nd! 
Only one DJ from there will go on to compete nationally in LA in the spring.
